In the past, all the men worked at sea, either in fishing or the navy, leaving the island almost entirely populated by women. Immersing herself in this land, the filmmaker delves into the archives and, in a drift between dream and reality, identifies with Barba, a girl from Ouessant whose father vanished at sea without a trace. How, then, can one grieve?
Somewhere between a holiday film, an anthropological documentary, and fiction, the film takes the form of an ethnographic tale.
